High-Temperature & Specialty Metals

Specialty Materials for Extreme Thermal, Mechanical & Electrical Performance

Some engineering applications push conventional materials beyond their limits. Whether the challenge is operating at extreme temperatures, minimizing weight, maintaining dimensional stability, resisting aggressive environments, or achieving specific magnetic or electrical characteristics, selecting the right material is critical to long-term performance and reliability.

Sigmund Cohn Corp. manufactures and supplies a broad range of specialty metals engineered for demanding aerospace, medical, industrial, scientific, and electronic applications. Our engineers work closely with OEM manufacturers to evaluate operating conditions, mechanical loads, thermal requirements, corrosion resistance, manufacturability, and lifecycle performance to identify the optimal material for each application.

Specialty Materials

Tungsten (99.98%)

Tungsten is the preferred material for applications requiring exceptional high-temperature strength, wear resistance, and dimensional stability. With an industry-leading melting point of 3,410°C, tungsten maintains its mechanical integrity under conditions where most metals fail.

Available in bare, gold-plated, platinum-plated, and electropolished finishes, tungsten supports applications requiring superior thermal performance, precision machining, and long service life.

Aluminum

Our aluminum offerings include 99.999% High-Purity Aluminum, 1100 Aluminum (99%), and specialty aluminum-silicon and aluminum-magnesium alloys.

These materials provide an outstanding combination of lightweight performance, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, and excellent formability, making them ideal for weight-sensitive aerospace, electronics, and industrial applications.

High-Purity Iron (99.9%+)

For applications requiring controlled magnetic, electrical, and mechanical properties, Sigmund Cohn Corp. supplies high-purity iron manufactured to deliver exceptional material consistency and predictable performance.

Stainless Steel (302 & 316)

Where corrosion resistance and mechanical durability are required without the need for precious metals, our stainless steel materials provide a reliable and economical solution for demanding industrial and commercial applications.
