Sigmund Cohn Corp, a leading manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Technician/Quality Inspector to add to their organization. The company manufactures products to support a variety of markets including medical device, aerospace, semi-conductor, automobile, temperature sensing, and thermocouple.
QC/QA Inspector/Technician duties include:
· Perform final visual inspection of customer orders
· Perform inspection of paperwork including shipping and packing labels for accuracy
· Assist with the maintenance and administration of ISO 9001:2015 standards
· Auditing quality of products through testing and visual inspections
· Assist with product and process improvements
· Data entry and looking up information in Databases and ERP System
· Assist with the monitoring of calibration system
· Communicate with Production Control as needed on paperwork or visual inspection of material.
Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, tensile strength, and quantities inspected
Scan supporting documentation and save in appropriate location on the network.
QC/QA Inspector/ Technician qualifications include:
· AS or BS in technical discipline or relevant work experience is strongly preferred
· Knowledge using measuring equipment is preferred
· Excellent analytical skills
· 1-5 years of inspection or quality experience in an ISO manufacturing environment
· Highly detail oriented
· Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
· Strong computer skills including Word and/or Excel. ERP experience is a plus
· Ability to multi- task and meet deadlines
· Ability to work independently and work in a team
· Ability to walk up and down stairs and frequently sitting and standing. There is no elevator in the facility and multiple floors of manufacturing.
· Strong fine motor skills for handling material and measuring tools
· Strong eyesight to see material defects and look through microscopes and read measuring tools to perform visual inspections
· Excellent attention to detail
Company information
· Competitive salary (varies based on experience): $50,000 - $65,000
· Comprehensive benefits package including: 401k , medical, dental, vision, disability, AD&D and life insurances, paid holidays, sick and vacation time.
· Hours: M-F 8:00am – 4:30pm
